Pool
Our
1100 square foot pool opens each year in May on Memorial Day
weekend. The pool remains open through Labor Day for your enjoyment and convenience. The pool opens daily at 10:00 a.m.
and closes at 10:00 p.m. You'll have plenty of time to take a dip!
Sauna
The sauna is available to our guests year-round at no extra charge, of course! Bring a towel and
relax for awhile. Our exercise equipment is located in the same
room.
Conveniently located on the
south end of the first floor, the room opens daily at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m.
and is available to all guests 18 years of age and older. A pop machine is located nearby.
Other Recreation
Chillicothe is home to an outstanding YMCA with an indoor pool, two gyms, indoor walking
track, and well-equipped weight and exercise rooms. If you are a YMCA member, you may use
your membership card at the Grand
River Area Family YMCA and the North Central Missouri YMCA in nearby Brookfield,
Missouri.
There are also seven parks in Chillicothe;
and Simpson Park is a great place to host your family reunions. It boasts a walking trail,
playground, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, and several shelter houses, as well as a
state-of-the-art Aquatic Center with two slides.
Chautauqua in the Park
is held at Simpson Park in September the weekend after Labor Day, with arts and crafts,
food, and entertainment. The Freedom Festival and a popular car show are held there in
July.
In the summer months,
Chillicothe is home of the Chillicothe
Mudcats college baseball team with home games at nearby Shaffer Park. Danner Park is a
popular place for soccer and baseball, playing host to several tournaments, both state and
regional. There is also a paved walking, bike, or skateboard trail there, a playground,
basketball court, and two tennis courts. And, did you know that Chillicothe is Home of the First Sliced
Bread?!
